Packers and Eagles retiring Reggie Whites number

    I don't really see how, but he did a lot for the game. If we did of course it wouldn't be because of what he did for one year of playing for us.

    Had it been someone like Pat Tillman that played for the Panthers I'd see it. Reggie has done great things for the city of Charlotte as a reverend, but frankly as a player he was past his prime. I guess the biggest thing he did was teach Rucker who in turn has taught Jenkins and Peppers a bit.

    I could see them painting some kind of art thing with a buncha players and including him in it, but that's about it.

    Some kind of tribute to him would be nice but I do not think we should retire his number. Maybe a plaque or something and a ceremony to honor him maybe tie it in to his off the field stuff....

    hell, put him in the ring of honor. wouldnt be half as cheesy as putting the PSL owners up there.

    he'll go into the HOF as a Panther though, he can't sign & retire with the Packers now...or did he?
