    Eagles | Owens Speaks; Apologizes to Team, Fans
    Tue, 8 Nov 2005 12:22:18 -0800

    Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens, during a press conference Tuesday, Nov. 8, apologized to QB Donovan McNabb, head coach Andy Reid, the Eagles' management and to the fans. He said it "really hurts" not being able to play football again this season. Agent Drew Rosenhaus quickly took over for Owens after he finished his prepared statement, saying Owens has expressed a great deal of remorse and wants everyone to understand he's making an apology since his first one wasn't accepted. He noted Owens wants to resume playing for the Eagles. "He is sorry, he wants to play football, he's a great person," Rosenhaus said. He went on to say he is "110 percent" behind Owens and will do everything he can to put Owens back on the field as quickly as possible. Rosenhaus also added not to write Owens off for the future, as he will return to the field. Finally, he also blasted the Philadelphia media noting they are not fair to Owens.
