    When I-485 is complete next month (God willing) it should give us folks who live in south Charlotte and further out (like Metro) a quicker route to the university on game day. I'd rather have a root canal than sit in 77/85 traffic that time of day....

    It opened from hwy 49 out to albemarle rd yesterday. I never got to monroe so fast in my life.

    I live on the corner of Harris & Old Concord, how does this help me? When do I get mine? Is somebody going to swing buy Picasso's and pick my drunk ass up?

    Believe me, as a Stonecrest area resident I could not be any happier about this. Taking Harris Bvld or I485 to I77 to I85 to get to the games was horrible.

    I was at the intersection of 51 and 485 yesterday and there is no way that next link will be done by October.

    I think they are planning to open from albemarle rd to lawyers rd next month.

    exactly, and 51 is between Alb/lawyers. If they finish it, I'll be shocked, it is still dirt.

    I doubt it also, metro. They had this latest stretch pave months ago and just opened it yesterday.
