    The league will run the “HOW FITTING THAT BEARS/PACK SLUGGED IT OUT IN THE ultimate THROWBACK GAME” narrative later on social. This is anything but a throwback. Halas/Lombardi would shit bricks over the piss-poor blocking and mental errors. Low scoring ain’t always SMASHMOUTH.

    Quick take on tonight: week one execution in the NFL gets rustier each year. Sept is almost an extension of the preseason now. Lack of contact in camp now + less camp sessions + lack of starters playing during preseason = sloppy. There’s no substitute for hitting.

    The league wanted to put these two teams together to celebrate the hundredth year anniversary bullshit. I would’ve much rather have watched Steelers and patriots.

    Here's my concern with Chicago, for anyone who was wondering: Their offense is all gimmick, and NFL defenses have an entire offseason to figure that bullshit out.
