That's why I made my suggestion of Shelton to the PUP. It may would be possible to keep both Smart and Robertson in that case scenario.

    Brain,

None of those players are eligible for PUP. If you're on the active roster when camp starts, its regular roster, IR, or cut. PUP is for players hurt before camp starts only.

I keep Smart. At the expense of another STs player, hopefully not Robertson.

    I keep Tufts and Seward.

Kadela moved to RT to replace a horrible Doty. I'm not sure that means they were uphappy with him. I think it stresses that Fordham is injury prone and we better not cut anyone who can play T. If they're only going to keep 8 OL, Kadela may be more questionable. I now agree he's behind Hangarter, and obviously Mathis.

Undecided about punter. I wish Baker had got more chances to screw up, so we know how consistent he is.

I like Haye over Rasmussen. Smart takes Rasmussens STs spot.

If anyone was considering cutting Gaines, he stays.

We can't cut anymore Ss. McCree was impressive.

Carter obviously stays. He's learning to play tackle football. They will have to activate Gardner and Proehl. That means they can't even activate Hankton. I hate to cut Hankton after he lost his house, but that's what needs to happen. Offer him a FO job doing something.

I thought so too but Philly just put two players on it Aug 30th. Jets put Kenyatta Wright on it Aus 29th, Houston put TE Bennie Joppru and the Chiefs put LB Shawn Barber (left knee) on the 30th as well. Unless all these guys came into camp injured than there must be some rule allowing it. (I've looked, it is not covered in the CBA).

No they don't there are two versions of the PUP. One before camp and one immediately before cutdown. Davis was on the one before camp, but there was no rule about when he could start as long as he passed a physical. The regular season PUP players can be sent to it before the official cutdown day.

No. Look up the rule in the "My 53" thread. Lets put it like this. Have you EVER known of a player put on the regular season PUP who was healthy and on the active roster at the beginning of training camp? I don't. This board talks about PUPing ineligible players every year at this time. It never happens. There's a reason.

They did. None of them played in the pre-season.
