that guy Hill has got to go...

    Smart & Robertson both stay

    Bashir could be out

Hankton might make it...hard to cut a guy who's been here and just lost his house

Punters...I'm guessing Baker gets it, but I'll take either over Sbraun

Shelton makes it, but like Carter...might not see the active roster this year

    Seward can play

    Cichiro (sp) is gone

tough cuts this year, more players cut from the Panthers coould get jobs than any other team

So I am sure that is something that gets talked about. But if you are a player is this such a good deal? I mean perhaps Shelton could do well elsewhere. Why would he want to accept a BS PUP assignment and sit around hoping for injury when he could be working with another team and getting some playing time.

This is business, but the coaches also care about the players and want to see the best thing for them. If the best thing is to set them free, you just have to do it. This is new ground for us. We have never had the luxury of having to cut a significant amount of decent players. It is hard, but it is what it is..

Thing is they're not gonna just cut a 2nd round guy lose. Not in year 1. That's reality. I'd rather see them stash him away than to cut lose a guy that's out playing him. Because like it or not Shelton is staying and someone else is going in any other situation.

    If I'm making the calls:

the only question left in 9th DL. I'd like an upgrade over Carstnes but this is what I'd do. (I'd also upgrade Gaines if a right blocking vet came available but I can live with Gaines.)

Yes you get 8, I Only saw 7 I wanted off our roster. maybe we can snag a safety or a TE of somebody else's.

You're going to risk who ever you but there, who would you change that's eligible?

I'd probably swap Haye for Cramer on the PS and also try to sign Rutherford to the PS again.

I agree that Shelton is not going anywhere. Just an example. But someone is going. Either Smart or Robertson. I would have said Smart last week and Robertson this week. That is why I am not a coach. They will probably have a good idea who leaves and one of them is going to be playing somewhere else
