    I'd say the ones that find another team to root for are the real fans. The fake fans quit watching hockey as soon as their team is out

    anytime a team has extended success there will be lots and lots of bandwagon fans...it doesn't matter the sport. Duke bastketball, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Bucs, NY Yankees, LA Lakers, etc etc all have millions of bandwagon fans that will jump off as soon as they start to struggle.

    Geez, just look at all of the carolina panther "fans" that came out of the woodwork last year....the last time half of the hurricane "fans" actually watched a game was the stanley cup finals a couple of years ago.
