they're both damn fine receivers. I'm glad we have both of them, and don't hold irrational grudges against either. I'm sorry that you seem to. Muhsin's a huge asset to this team as a receiver, a blocker, a captain, and a mentor, but you don't have to show him respect. It's allright. Doesn't change how he's played, though.

    Wiggin,
hopefully it won't come to that. 3rd is high for a kicker. Kaedling is a hell of a prospect, but he's not the only one out there, so if we took a flyer on Josh Scobee (LSU - strong leg, big frame not unlike Nedney, who IMO was the best kickoff guy in Panthers history since someone mentioned Graham; ScottyO can do good things with guys with leg who can be inconsistent), or MSU's Brent Smith, who's very similar - much more so than Aaron Hunt (clemson) or Nick Browne.

Yeah, I had to look up some info on kickers. I don't pay attention to them most times enough to actually scout them.

A-yup. We need to keep them both. Whatever was going on between Jake and Moose at the beginning of the year - miscommunication, not comfortable, etc. - is gone. We have 2 legit threats in the passing game, and that makes our running game even stronger.

I always hoped we would keep Moose and Smith - hope so even more now.

teaching the OL how to block a 3-4 defense. yeah, they beat atlanta once but over the past few years the 3-4 has given them fits.

Moose made a comment about Smith being the first read on the progression, while moose was the last. He said that as Jake got more and more confortable with the offense, he became more comfortable throwing it to Moose.

Makes some sense, but who knows. All I know is we've got good receivers, and as long as the cap complies, i'd liek to keep them.

Nor would we want to. Serious playmaker, but couldn't be a worse fit for this offense. Not even a consideration.

Am I missing something, or is TE a need position all of the sudden? I'm quite content to sit with Wiggins, Mangum and Seidman.

Disagree. Johnson is more of a receiver than a blocker, and has become injury prone.

Sounds prototype for this offense. :)

Agreed about the price for a good PK. I haven't seen/read anything about his regular season, but Kaeding did not have a good day in the Senior Bowl.

Ech. Never really that high on Seidman. And now he's hurt.

He just played too much like Mangum to me.

Towns is gone, IMO. He just isn't what this team needs anymore -- not even on ST. From what we saw this year, Caldwell is definitely no better than Favors, and made a lot more mental errors in proportion to his playing time, IMO. Allen isn't horrible depth, but I definitely wouldn't want him to be starting for more than a game or two. Honestly, it wouldn't break my heart to see all three replaced. ATP, I think Vinny Ciurciu is better than Caldwell and Towns, at least in ST. It'll be interesting to see what O'Brien and Mills can do with him this offseason.

We need at least one linebacker even if Fields does come back, and probably two. If Fields is done, we need three -- a starter and a MLB and OLB for depth.
