Kasay is still one of the better in the league. He has trouble with kickoffs, though. Vinateri was booning them into the endzone each kick, Kasay was at the 15 or 20.

yeah, but i read a stat that said, except for the bad kick, new england didn't get position better than the 32. and that was because of a 29 yard return.

The 32 sucks. Look where we started our drives after kickoff.

I don't understand how you can be practically a sure thing from 50 yards out, but can't kick for shit on kick-offs

    I say draft a kicker

I say hire an O coordinator that will play something other than that 1950's style of game till we get down by more than 10 pts.

I'm not necessarily saying get rid of John. But either we need to do so, or be able to rely on Todd for KOs, or jsut suck it up and know that we'll have bad KOs. I can't see putting a lot of money into Kasay and carrying a 3rd guy.

Where is Winslow predicted to go? We needs a tight end.

top ten. No way we pull that one out.
Receiver pool, as well as the corners, should be decent there, and possibly OT.
I'd really rather not start a rookie there, or plan to do so anyway, but at TE, we could get by. That'd mean the TE would have to beat someone. Ben Troupe's a good fit and good value, Eric Johnson and Erron Kinney make for good fits in FA. Some people list Jason Peters (heh) high lately, supposedly a decent athlete for 6'5, 320, and supposedly a legit TE with legit receiving skills.

    Ben Troupe

I'm not sure that Troupe gets to us, but I'd take him at 31 in a second.

Interesting fact is that all you hear is how inexperienced Troupe is and that he is mostly lacked production.

    Kellen Winslow: (last season)
    YPC - 10.1
    Total Yrds - 605
    TD - 1

    Ben Troupe: (last season)
    YPC - 16.4
    Total Yrds - 638
    TD - 5

I'm not buying that shit. Troupe is special and he is gonna be a difference maker at the next level. Winslow has my total respect as a talent on the field, but with his attitude and such - Troupe isn't far behind him in terms of value. Troupe could be great in the NFL.

Troupe is one of those guys that I see and just kinda marvel at and wonder why he isn't thrown too the whole game. He jumps out at you with that size and speed. He is so big and has really long powerful arms. He should be a great blocker and complete TE with good coaching. He has everything you look for in a top TE and if used correctly could really open things up for the offense.
