Colin Branch Sucks

 

Who replaces Branch?

 

Sorry, stupid question.

We could totally eliminate the FS position, play with 10 men on defense, and end up better than we would have if Branch were in.

I'm sure that would get a warm a fuzzy response 'round these parts.

 

Gamble showed that he could cover people. He showed he could break on a ball. He also made a lot of stupid mistakes, and that's not something anybody would argue against.

The difference is that you'll see him grow, and you're certain of that.

Branch just sucks.

 

I expect to see everyone grow, especially the youngsters.

I don't think that Branch cannot grow. And I don't think he sucks. And you will not only disagree, but you will say that, without question, he does suck. To say that a FS who picked off 3 balls, returned one to the one yard line and set up a touchdown, all in his first year as a starter, with a cast on his hand....it just strikes me as a little odd to say that "Ah, he sucks."

I really don't think it's time to send the man to the Pro-Bowl. But, by no means, does the man suck at what he does. He is decent. And he can get better. And if he don't, he will be gone. Simple.

 

he sucks. Brent Alexander had INTs, that didn't mean he didn't suck. Rod Smith could pick the ball when thrown at him a billion times, but guess what he sucked? Doug Evans picked off 8 balls. That didn't make him Deion Sanders.

 

Time reveals all questions. Branch may be here. Or he may be gone. We'll see.
