they just couldn't lay down and be bitch slapped like the avs did in game 7...they had to go out and take advantage of poor passing and a 5 on 3. They pissed them off now.

Seriously, the canes played good...they opened a lot of eyes in hockeytown. I was expecting the canes to come out flat after the long layoff but the opposite was true. The wings must have suffered a let down after their sloppy game 7 win...their passing was terrible which lead to a lot of turnovers.

I don't like the tight officiating, a lot of cheap calls, the 5 on 3 made up for a few cheap ones on carolina. the 5 on 3 was the turning point in the game.

As a whole I think Both team played well.

Hasek was good except for that goal he put in himself by doing snow Angels again!

Irbe was taking chance but it payed off.

Look for detroit to come out real strong next game.. I just can't see then falling 2 behind.

If carolina build on this victory this series could become seriously interesting!
