Chad hasn't looked that bad in the preseason. Orton has looked better, still figured they'd give Hutchinson the start initially and I actually expected him to come out hot...until teams got some tape on him. Then figured he'd tank weeks 4-5 and get benched.

In hindsight, I put WAY too much thought into it!

Always good to see an Iowa boy make it!

In refering to him as an Iowa boy...Orton prepped at either Oskaloosa or Ottumwa. I always get them mixed up, fucked up town names that begin with "O" always do that to me?

I only saw Hutchinson for about a quarter in the first game, what I saw...he didn't look bad. Then again, when Grossman went down, he probably freaked out.
He should have stuck with baseball, but maybe he never planned to be a starter in the NFL and just intended to soak up a paycheck? He seems to freeze once he gets the keys tothe boat.

the bears will play good defense and run the hell out of the ball. benson just signed. they've got moose to keep the safeties off the line.

they keep the games close and don't turn the ball over, they can still win some games...even with a no name QB.

Kyle Orton, they guy who was headed for Heisman contention until he started to suck it up big time 2/3 of the way into last season.

The Bears might just end up with a nice 1-2 punch at RB. Peterson has been running his ass off and if Benson gets up to speed quickly they are going to be able to keep a tight leash on Orton and the passing game.

There has been alot of talk about the Lions in the North, but I think the Bears might be the team to watch as the season progresses and Orton gets his head around things. The Vikings still have some questions on D and the effects of the departure of Moss have yet to be seen. The Packers could go either way.

the lions look like pure shit tonight against the rams...37-6. They have a shitty o-line and the rams have been blitzing like all night...

and as we all know, the more lopsided the score, the ratio of random shit madden talks about increases.

The only thing Detroit had going for them tonight was Willig on the Rams' OL.

Not just Willig, but I've often wondered why a pulling lineman runs thru the hole 5 yrds ahead of the runner and hits nobody.
