    I had an ACER desktop YEARS ago. Think it had a 2 gig harddrive! It lasted for years with no problems.

    Toshiba used to be the cream of the crop, they suck hard IMHO.

    Lenovo rocks, and Dell is pretty good, HP is very good.

    i'm glad i didn't do the toshiba, i almost pulled the trigger on the HP but the Acer was a couple hundred less.

    i think it will suffice for my needs, interweb, email, spread sheets and music.

    While I prefer Dell, Lenovo's laptops have for the most part given me zero problems in support. I'd still be buying from them if they're sales people hadn't let me down when I needed them most.
