    non HD channels on an HD tv looks worse then TV did 20 years ago

    Some of that is your internal scaler for the TV, but overall I definitely agree with you.

    I remember being able to read players names on the back of jerseys in the wide action shot during basketball games. Can't do that anymore, I have to wait for close-ups if the game isn't in HD. They have compressed the life out of SD channels.
