Perfect ending to a lazy-ass hire by Davis.

I don't know what it is, but every time I hear ol norv talk, I have this strange urge to constantly clear my throat the whole time he talks.

The rest of the staff are rumored to be gone by January 17th. I hope they bring back Rob Ryan and the special teams coach, but I'm sure this all has to do with a new coach bringing in new staff with them.

Why on earth would you want to bring back Rob Ryan? He's not very good.

They really should have kept Gruden. They have had awful luck with coaches out there and have been doormats most of the time. Gruden is the only guy who has done anything since the old days of Marcus Allen & company. It is not a coaching job that is very high on anyone's list I am sure. Davis must be a big time meddler. Don't forget he fired Shanahan too, and the Broncos sure are glad.

Al Davis also ran off Shanahan and has pissed off nearly every person involved with the NFL. Gruden would have left after the final year of his contract anyway, so they did the right thing. At this point they might as well gain some karma by bringing back Art Shell.
