True, I hadn't thought of it like that. That does save a roster spot.

Has anyone noticed a decent OLB or two that has been released? Favors will be our achilles heel if he stays in the starting line-up.

Hoover can move into tailback if Smart isn't cutting it in case of inujury to Foster or Davis.

Also, Casey Moore is on injured reserve if we did have to move Hoove back to Tailback. Sure Hoove would be a short term solution but he has a 100 yard Monday Night game under his belt!!!

Moore going on IR means he's done for the year.

There aren't any better RBs out there than we have. 3 deep, and 5 overall, incl the FBs, is pretty standard. We've had more, but that was for STs.

Don't be surprised to see Smart returning KOs. He didn't this preseason, but he did some last year.

We also didn't see Baker returning kicks (just punts) in preseason. They usually only activate 4 WRs. Don't be shocked to see Smith and Smart, and Baker inactive, unless someone is injured.

So there will be some suspense for next week after all.

Yeah, I think so too. Nick's been doing that anyway. Still, 3/2 at RB/FB seems thin for Fox's claimed "ball control" offense, especially since Foster has played all of about 5 minutes this season.

I have to agree with this evaluation. I would be a lot more comfortable with Deke Cooper replacing Grant than I would/will with Branch. Let's hope Grant is improved.
