So yeah - turns out after this thread, we've had QB issues. We thought Delhomme was indestructible, but maybe some shine was coming off (turns out it was the injury). We thought Weinke was ultra-solid as a backup; then we thought the same of Carr.

Personally, right now, I'd have brought in a vet of modest background and had that player fight with the youth. If something does happen, we have more than enough depth, and whover wins of the youth has earned something to suggest future growth.

But, without that vet, we're still not terribly talent-poor. Both backups are self-starting guys who look good in games, have poise, and will have more time to sit and watch.
