Kyle has a decent throwing arm, from what I understand. I don't know if he's ever been a quarterback, though.

On game day each team gets to activate 45 players and designate a 46th player the emergency qb. If the emergency qb enters the game before the 4th quarter, then the first two QBs are not elligible to play in the game again.

No, Batch was. (Maddox was #2 and single-handedly lost the game against Jacksonville)

    B&B:
That was mentioned it an article, but they were just joking around. Kyle throws for INT practice with the linebackers, but he's a terrible passer by any but high school standards.

    Yeah, I figured.

Btw, I find it amusing that Troy Brown took two snaps at QB last night, handed the ball off twice, and people are calling Belichick a 'genius' for it.

Dan Lebatard said that, btw, and he just now compared the Owens 'situation' to Steve Smith's injury.

I want to piss on his face.

Wasn't Walls our emergency QB at one time? He's available and wanted to retire a Panther until the Shortt mess. :ylsuper:

They did both, because I think they were unsure of the rule. I'm pretty sure the point was made that if the 3rd QB is listed as active, the special rules don't apply. The whole point was not to limit QBs, but to give special consideration to QBs. If you say you can't activate more than 2, that limits. If you say you can inactivate a 3rd, but let him play under special circumstances, then that give him extra powers.

I don't know about Randall El, but that makes the point. If you're going to say the "3rd QB" cant play, etc, etc., then you get into all kinds of machinations on who is or is not a QB. You say anyone on the 45 active can play at any time, at QB or anywhere else, then its simple. The only time its complicated is for the designated (voluntarily designated) emergency, inactive, 3rd QB.

The reason this is such an obscure point is that almost no one wants to activate a 3rd QB
