    I agree, it's a cultural thing.

    Like I said though, this thread was about celebrating the Niner's unprecedented run to a national championship game, against the Heels no less. Proud of the team and university.

    The more I think about it the more that reasoning doesn't hold up when one considers Europe, etc. 1st world nations with soccer as most popular sport.
