the two sides are 6.5 million apart. this would be a "monkey screwing a football" if they lose the season.

I love that Herb Brooks quote...of course he used the f-bomb

there is a rumor that Roenick, Pronger and Ignila went behind Goodenow's back to get a deal? No wonder there was some player shock that they hadn't heard about the turnaround.

Player greed and selfishness. I normally say bad things about ownership, but not this time. Owners own teams to attempt to make money. IF they have actually lost all that cash, then they are in the right. Way to go guys. You managed to destroy an entire professional league. And just after lunch. How nice.

Man, I'm with you guys. Just when we think there is some hope, bam, they crush us. It's pitiful.

After all this flurry the last few days, how much you want to bet that they won't talk for a couple of months? The best thing to do before they might as well disband the league is to get the stupid thing hashed out NOW.

the Checkers FOLD if the NHL comes back? The Checkers lose which players? Jamieson? McIntyre? I don't know how well Hartford is doing, but if they get slammed with injuries or anything else, those top level Checkers are gone anyway.

And don't think for one minute that ANYONE of the players in the ECHL WOULD NOT play at the next level if given the chance. Such is the life in the minors.
