Did anybody see the hit they laid on Zednik (spelling?) for Montreal.

A hard elbow crushed his face. Broke his nose and cheek bone - out for the year. He had scored two goals too. Boston was up 5-2 and the game was winding down.

The Montreal coach promised they would go after Boston's best player in the next game.

That should be a good one. Here s a link

I don't care what Barry Melrose thinks, McLaren deserves a Domi-like suspension. Eight games at least. It's OK to finish a check, but you don't swing an elbow at a guy's head. I'll be watching game six for sure. It oughtta be nasty.

i don't usually watch hockey games, but i know that they play tomorrow at one on abc. I'll be watching that with popcorn and drinks. The coach was pretty damn pissed after the game. Fun!!!

since the league took fighting out of the game this is what happens...cheap shots with the intent to injure. Back in the old days, you'd have some 230 pound thug that all he knew how to do was fight re-arranging that guy's face or someone else's face on the team as payback. Every team had one to protect the stars. If someone hit a star, you'd send out the thug to take care of things. It was a kind of police themselves type thing that still exists in the canadien leagues and some minor league leagues.
