    The football purist in me hates losing the kickoff, but the fact is I hardly noticed it's absence while watching the Pro Bowl.

    The problem is that kickoffs can turn the game. If not by outright scores, certainly by field position. You need ST guys who are actually good at it now, not so much if they place the ball somewhere.

    Games will be more predictable, roster construction will change. Etc.

    Oh I'm with you. I hate losing special teams, but the reality is the NFL could probably take them away tomorrow and it wouldn't even leave a scratch on their bottom line. Most people watching the NFL now are not even football fans.
