We`ve commented on here of the few good passes that Clausen has made during a given game, and getting Smith`s respect this year is going to be useless.

Was a nice break down and thoughts on trying to decide if he is a franchise QB or not.

tonight's a fairly substantial night for Clausen, if for nobody else.

It'll be a good gauge for the running game as well. It's one thing to piss on a shitty Arizona defense it's another to be successful against the Steelers.
Will also be looking at how our db's fare against their wr's. Munnerlyn has been playing pretty damn well recently

Not saying we have nearly enough left in the tank to keep it close.

But, I remember Arizona having the best run defense since the merger when we played them in 2009, and I do believe we put up 200+.

It just wouldn't shock me to see 28 and 33 have success. That's where Clausen just needs to settle down, stay focused and elevate his game. And if he can't, then bring on the next rookie.

A lot of times teams have good run stats because of a shitty pass D, teams don't need to run so much, or they are ahead so much that teams need to throw and throw. I think that was a factor with Arizona that year. It's not so much the case with Pittsburgh, and I think it's gonna be tough going.
