    Cam was 1 yrd from franchise record passing yards. nuts. pretty much fucking demolished the short record book here.

    Wow that's crazy. And Weinke did it on 61 attempts. I would have sworn Beuerlein had thrown for 400 yards at some point.

    It seemed effortless for him to throw the ball. What an arm. Quick release, too.

    And off his back foot, a bunch. Still got some good results. He did fail badly the last four plays. But I got the feeling he knows it and won't settle for that.

    Made the tackle on his int.

    I was absolutely wrong, wanted another position drafted and a vet QB signed to start, and failing that wanted him to sit a while to protect him. Things may change but from watching today, there's no reason for that to happen.

    You weren't wrong. It's a big relief that Cam played well in his first game, but the team would still be far better off if they had taken Dareus and a veteran QB.

    yeah Weinke's game was from way behind. That game spawned Deangelo to take most of the third down snaps.

    He didn't "play well". He played like Aaron Rodgers on Viagra. I don't expect that to happen again this year, but it was a pretty remarkable effort and Panther fans have a right to be excited.
