Nice theory. But for some reason (most likely me being a dumbass) I was unable to log in. I would log in, get a Welocme McJeff message and then be told I needed to log in to post. Bah. Sorry for the thread jack.

The simple design is by, well, design. It's the same set-up I put together years ago in the days when I was hosting from my personal webspace and needed the smallest footprint possible to keep from having bandwidth issues. I also write the code by hand, so I like to keep things uncluttered. It's just for fun, though. If my magazine hasn't gotten me noticed, nothing will, so I've never had that in mind as a career path.

And as for the updates, I wasn't home so I don't have the game on computer at the moment. I have it on DVR, but I'll probably wait for it to appear in a more manageable form on the net instead of moving that into my computer room. Plenty of stuff to go over, though. *sigh*

v/s their running offense, there was an underlying and possibly understated point of stating that our DTs would need to occupy blockers moreso than get penetration, that I don't know if you agree with, but felt like something that would be a conclusion in respect to Hutchinson's sealing and Birk's

That also may be key in whether they play two head-up DTs or use Jenkins on the nose. In this game, despite Hutchinson, I'd keep a more basic 'even' front and keep Hutchinson off the second level. Not that Birk can't be good on the move, but I'd rather thwart what they're doing and at least force them out of what they really want to do.

It might also force Jenkins to start playing DT more on reaction than anticipation, too (last week's two offsides penalties in the final scoring drive, both inside our territory, and going against a pair of Pro Bowl linemen and crafty QB in a hostile environment).

we don't match up terribly bad against their O front, and I think Rucker's crafty enough not to be abused by McKinnie's athleticism in the passing game; we'll be able to push the pocket some strongside; I think we'll hold contain much better as well. I think we can stalemate them up front overall, if we can keep the bigger blockers off Seward. I think a lot of the passing game will come down to execution and reading the shorter pass, which is the best natural way to play this defense.
