From watching it, it appears that Gamble had in his mind to lateral right from the start, so I don't think he was fooled by the ref. Ultimately we're just arguing about this too much, though. Nothing is going to change, we just have up to pick up and win next week.

maybe becuase they were worried he was too down on himself for the bad execution to be effective

prolly cause he made a bonehead descision, and a poor execution thereof, if in fact it was a called play. not to mention, the coaches might have feared his head was fuked up big time after the thing happened and didn't want his liability.

I get the feeling Jake gets down on everyone but himself. Maybe not but I am going to imagine that so I can justify why I don't like him.

I think Jake does get down on himself and poor execution in general.

I like jake fine. I just don't like the way he plays at least 50% of the time.

I think he makes some damn fine plays, but like favre of late, there's a buncha fukups in between. You don't need any other excuse to not like that shit.

correct. And it wasn't, and I relented. The entire idea was that Marshall had no blockers and wasn't designed to have blockers, which is why I relented on MCM being an example, since it had blockers. Either way, that's not lying, but if that's what you need to believe, great.

I get the opposite feeling. He'll put it on himself for everything that isn't directly someone else. Jake wasn't getting pissed at receivers all game, he was pissed at the specific receiver last week (Gaines?) who missed the route, which is something basically all of us agreed he did. That wasn't characteristic.

It's not a matter of what I believe. It's a matter of you saying that Marshall had no blocking, then he did have blocking, then he didn't have blocking. It's a matter of you saying that the MCM was analogous and then that it wasn't analogous. You change your story every time it interferes with what you want to believe, which is lying.

And regarding Gaines, I thought Delhomme said after the game that he didn't miss his route. I thought Jake said that he was just trying to throw the ball away, but that he got hit from behind when he threw it (which, if he did at all, didn't look like much a hit).

I never changed my story. I believed the MCM was paralleled when I believed there was no blocking. I never said Marshall had blocking.

I didn't catch that. It's not unlike him, but he was angry about it on the field.
