Good lord, man. Somehow you keep managing to surprise me with how dumb your statements can be. Being a mod or administrator doesn't automatically make you insightful or correct. Moreover, I'm not issuing any command that people stop posting things from PFT. I'm saying that this forum is better than that, and people shouldn't post PFT's nonsense because it has no value. It's a dictum, not a decree.

Paul, you are one of the last people who should bring up popularity and you know it. TBR has a higher level of football discussion than most boards, which is why I like it. If you can't appreciate that then it's probably because you lack the intelligence or taste to even identify such distinctions, much less value them. Plus, whether you like it or not, a lot of people like to hear what I have to say. Meanwhile you're here because you're functionally inert, and moving would require effort.

There is no level of boredom that would make a discerning person turn to TMZ, the National Enquirer, or PFT. You either like that stuff or you don't, it's not a question of boredom. Liking it doesn't necessarily make you an idiot or a horrible person. I'll watch the worst movie in the world if it has awesome titties in it, so we all have our vices. But liking PFT or its equivalents is not a good thing.

While I don't deny that my ego can be irritating in the extreme, that's not why you want people like me to be falsely humble. What really bothers you is that people who have obvious value make you feel like you're valueless. But instead of lashing out, I think it would be more productive to post something worthwhile. Everyone gets abused and rejected at first, but some people learn from the experience and get better, to the point that their opinions are then valued by those who see them.

So once again, I'm asking you to please not pick fights with me. Any time you feel the urge, just sit in your cubby hole at Duke Power and talk to the wall or play a flash game or something. I have registered the fact that I irritate you and I'm not saying that your feeling is unjustified, but responding by coming after me is not a smart move on your part. Stiffle the urge.

Unlike you I don't feel the need to post my resume on virtually every post I type dealing with some obscure fantasy sports magazine or web site with a circulation less than that of the population of Spiveys Corner NC. As is your right, just like it's my right to shine the world's biggest spotlight on your stupidity and your obsession with empty gossip like any chubby housewife who lives to read about which actor is cheating on which actress, only yours is directed towards football.

You care. Everyone cares. You're just willing to suppress those feelings both because you doubt your ability to change, and you lack the will to try. You're not an annoying spammer because you believe in that the way that I believe in being righteous and judgmental, but rather because you've given up on life. You've accepted being a degenerate. It's ok for you to read PFT, but do you see me talking about bad movies or posting clips from them? Your vices are yours and should not be inflicted upon others, especially when they would cheapen a forum that (admittedly too rarely of late) produces some insightful and worthwhile commentary.

No one is saying that you can't read PFT or that you can't read TMZ, but don't post their crap here. When you do, you lower the intellectual quality of the board. Note that I'm talking about intellectual quality and not purity, as any board with those many insults and body function jokes could never be considered pure. But again, passing off gossip, rumors, and other worthless information cheapens any other discussion that may take place. Keep it to yourself.

I like how you recycle insults that have already been thrown at me a thousand times, especially considering that you just got through talking about how people know that I have achieved some pretty awesome things that are more momentous and significant than anything you've ever done. I'm not expecting you to be clever with your insults because we all know that you're not a clever person, but surely you can muster up enough intelligence to not contradict yourself within consecutive sentences.

I will try to explain this yet again. I am not rude and boorish by nature, but rather by choice. People in my professional life usually find me exceptionally charming, and in most of the places I've worked I've been one of the most popular employees in the building. I am rude and boorish to people like you who do not deserve my respect. You have not earned it and you will not get it. You are a degenerate who deserves nothing but scorn and derision. That is why I am an asshole to you, because people with judgment should treat a worthless peon like you that way. The Observer fantasy league was the same way, as I got along fine with the participants until one took an underhanded shot at me, others joined in, and I proceeded to make their lives miserable. I lash out when I feel aggrieved. People who have my respect, on the other hand, don't get that same treatment.
