    It's not completely unusual for a laptop to reject aftermarket batteries. Aftermarket batteries are cheap for a reason. Stick with OEM....more expensive than aftermarket, but available at reasonable prices when not ordered directly from Dell.

    And I've repaired over 4000 Dells.
