Like the 112 we gave up to Kevin Smith? or maybe the 147 we gave up to the raiders?

LT and Forte make the 100 cut by a combined 11 yards, and LT and Peterson averaged 4.6 and 4.5 YPC so it's not like they weren't successful.

Kemo was hurt in week 15, in the 5 weeks prior we had given up 3 100 yard rushers

we were definitely poor at times.

but, then without him against a good running team we gave up 300. It doesn't mean he's great, but the numbers would suggest by that same standard we'd be better with him than a street FA.

Well, my focus is less on Kemo's talent level and more on the fact that Hayden is working with the 1's.

Anyone not depressed with that fact wasn't paying much attention last year.

We've gone from more or less average starting level talent to Practice Squad level talent and it will cost us.

not exactly... we will start the season with above average back-up talent probably better suited for this defensive scheme where we would have had below average starter talent that wasn't... won't be that big a drop off

by the time the season begins, they'll have a player in place... Fox has said they want to weed through some young guys before looking at the veterans... they're not done tinkering

If they add a decent vet I will feel a lot better. If we have to start the season with an undrafted player starting then we are screwed.

Which one of our backups do you think has above average talent and why?

You're all really overreacting here, we have Damione Lewis.

Yes we do but we run a 4-3 which requires us to play 2 DTs. On top of that Lewis is not the greatest against the run himself.

Thankfully he more than makes up for it with his pass rush.

He is a decent interior pass rusher but having Kemo in there to clog up the middle let him be free to pass rush. Now he will have to stay home and play the run more....
