it never helps to lose a starter. I was worried enough about run D as it was. But is it insurmountable? No. It's a big deal because we're fucking thin there, not because he was irreplaceable.

it is not that Kemo was great, it is that he was about all we had at the position. go watch a tape of the Giants game last year.....

Fortunately everyone doesn't have the Giants running game. Still sucks though

Hmmm , you mean that game that we played up there that went to OT but we were 1 missed field goal from winning outright despite having a significant problem stopping their running game?

Shame we haven't changed a damn thing since then.

Neither you nor I have any idea how any of the rookies will fit or how Meeks is going to adjust along the line. All we know is how Trgo did it which didn't work too well. The bottom line is that only an idiot will proclaim the coming season to be an "exercise in futility" on the third day of training camp due to an injury to an average DT.

I am not saying it is all over but this was a bad injury for us. We are the thinnest at DT of any position.

We gave plenty of rushing yards WITH kemo against teams that weren't the Giants. Also, we have Damione Lewis.

That was meant to be funny. I think we can still have a good season but I think we need to face the reality that our defensive tackles are not very good. Lewis is not a great run stuffer and he is the best we have left. The other guys we have are all unproven at best. I wanted to see us sign a vet before Kemo went down. I think it is pretty important now that we do so.

Sure our rush defense was not great last year but it was a lot better with Kemo than it was without him. Early in the year we held a lot of good backs under 100s. LT, Forte, Peterson etc. Once Kemo and Lewis wore down and or got hurt we started to give up big rushing yards.
