There are too many connections with the Cubs for me to be backing anyone else.
My G-grandfather was given an ultimatum by my G-grandmother. She said, "Marry me or go play with those boys in Chicago, you can't have it both ways." He stayed home and continued to play town team leagues, never getting the chance to live his boyhhod dream, but he married the girl of his dreams instead.
I always figured if that decision was reversed, I never would have been?
Plus, My brother-in-laws cousin is Bruce Kimm. He's the coach of the AAA affiliate in Des Moines. Many feel he'll replace Baylor at the end of the year. But, many also feel he is too damn nice a guy to ever manage in the show?
When Bruce was with the Marlins and the Rockies, I followed those guys a little...but all the while a Cub man.
They could be up 10-0 in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs and a pitcher at the plate, and if I turn the game on...they'd lose 11-10! I just don't get it?

I hear ya, McFly. I grew up within 1 1/2 hrs from Chicago and will always be a Cubs fan. Once it bites us in the ass - we're stuck for life.
