Which laptop would be the best... I've been looking at the Mac, Dell, and just for S.A.G... the Sony.

    Any suggestions?

Alienware... its overkill, but it'd damn sure run anything you wanted to run.

    NEVER buy Alienware...WAY overpriced.

You can buy a super-dooper laptop from any major vendor; Dell, Toshiba, etc. If price matters at all, the place Meatpile went to sells the same laptops as the major vendors (only a few places actually make laptops, most are just putting their badge on a generic model) for less.

They seem pretty loaded from what I've seen. You're probably right, but I've never stopped to break it down and figure what I'm paying parts wise, but I get all giddy with that power.

Dell is actually a generic model made from another vendor.

What about the powerbook? It doesn't have a CF card slot but I figure it's what every other still photographer uses... must be something to it then :woohoo:
