NBA Expansion

OK, now that it is looking more and more like we will be getting a NBA expansion team, the question comes up about what to name the team.

Should they be called the Charlotte ___________ or Carolina ___________?

Also, what do think the nickname should be? Would you be in favor of trying to get the name "Hornets" back from Shinnridge, or do you feel it is too tainted?

Why is the league trying to add 13-16 more players to a league that is already full of players that don't need to be there already?

Frankly it doesn't matter if its the Charlotte___ or the Carolina___ people need to stop bitching about that over at charlotte.com and frankly I'd prefer that stupid argument not come here either... we are all about Triad vs Charlotte... now I don't mind people coming up with names thats fun and all so my suggestion

Reasons why:
Could nickname the arena Charlotte's Web, you can cll the cheerleaders the Black Widows, and they could use a bunch of corny gimmicks with the word Archniphobia... its the most Marketable ploy...

I don't want to hear why I'm pro Charlotte over Carolina because frankly the reason I made my choice is if you named it the Carolina Spiders then calling the area Carolina's Web versus Charlotte's Web just sounds stupid.

The Charlotte Churches - for the singer and in reference to the bible belt

It's a valid question. Assuming we do get a team, the owners are going to have to face this decision at some point, and some people are likely to have strong opinions. So please explain what is wrong about trying to get an idea of what other fans think. And for the record, I have not been over to Charlotte.com since I joined this board, so any argument they are having over this has no bearing on my question.
