We're getting a lot of national attention after the Ravens game about our offense being shit.

I tell ya...it's a matter of time before Rivera truly regrets his awful Shula hire. While the defense looks to be very opportunistic and potentially truly threatening, we have put one of the lease innovative, uncreative drubs in charge of a unique threat in Cam Newton, while we will undoubtedly waste another critical year of Steve Smith's playing days.

    Goddamn....what a true shame.

I just hope we make a change, in season, before it's too late. Shula is beyond the awful we initially feared, and that's scary.

There's nobody to change to. And I can't really blame Shula for Gettleman's neglect of the offensive line.

If we're lucky, this conventional shit we're running is just for the preseason.

I know there's no one to change to, but it makes me feel better to say it. And I'm horrified by the truth.

I'm also furious as Gettleman for ignoring the OL, which I pined for on draft day, before and after draft day, and it's boiled over to where I want a mexican thug to beat his fat ass in an alley.

But I'm afraid this is what Shula is. He's so far worse than Davidson I'm afraid, that our brains risk literally exploding this year....and while we suck on OL, it's up to a bright mind to overcome that and do what we can to mask our weaknesses. There are so many things we can do to help this. So many fundamental things we can do to minimize the damage, that we're not even trying, that aren't "fancy plays that will give away our SUPER SECRET playbook".

    Ugh.

I'm expecting a horrible, horrible season.

I don't blame you for being pessimistic but if you don't have an OL you are going to struggle at best. It's a given. So I don't want to crucify Shula over that.

Nor do I want to blame Gman, at least not yet. But if he goes into the season with the cap room the same, no OL additions, how can we not view it as a fail? which, atp I'd have to think he has his reasons for that (but won't publicly cop to them).

strat my brotha, you can blame Shula. You really can.

We're scheming right now directly into the mouth of our weakness. It makes no sense.

As a team, you'll always have weak points. You have to cover them up the best you can, not play right into the teeth of circumstance.

Shula is a gaping maw of a mistake. He's a sore, a bleeding, infected fucking sore, and I -- GOD, I wish I could smash his fucking skull in.

FWIW Peyton, Warner and even Luck have had success behind some horrible lines but Cam isn't good enough to do that.

Remember when people posted on here complaining that the team was never mentioned in the media?

    I personally like the attention.

I'm also fine with the criticism. It's not like it's not warranted. I want our guys to feel the pressure.

Back to the OL.....for anyone (and there are a lot of them out there) making excuses for Shula because of our situation there, I'd remind them that our OL was in shambles during our winning streak last season.

    Yes, it's bad.

But it's not why we're horrific on offense all of a sudden.

I am not trying to be a Shula apologist but this is exactly what he should be doing in the preseason... working on the weaknesses.

Hopefully not seeing the read options in preseason does not signal that we have abandoned it. They just don't want Cam exposed to the hits in meaningless games.
