First race I went to I drew Jarrett as one of my starting positions in our pool. He was the only one doing good that race so I just sort of stuck with it. Just to make it interesting I sort of adopted Fords. But I also kind of like B. Labonte and it dont really matter that he switched to Chevy. I dont take any of it very seriously though. Maybe it would be different it the cars looked anything like the real ones.

For me, you're right on. Its mostly about the manufacturer. I won't lie. I was raised on Chevrolets, and thats where my allegiance stands. That being said, however, I don't go from liking to hating a driver simply because he goes from Chevy/Pontiac to Ford/Dodge. Ken Schrader for example. Now in a Dodge, but I'm still a fan and would love nothing more than to see him win another race. Didn't like Rusty even when he was in a Chevy. It works the other way around too. I won't go from hating a guy to automatically liking a guy just because he switches from Ford/Dodge to Chevy/Pontiac. Even if Busch or Newman would switch to Chevy, I still couldn't pull for them. I would just be hoping they would hurry and switch back. All this being said, I do have a few Ford/Dodge guys that I like, and would really like to see switch to Chevy/Pontiac. Elliott Sadler is at the top of that list. Maybe its just cause I like to hear him talk, but I will pull for him even tho he's not in a Chevy.
