my wireless connection sucks

I thought about dropping a wire to have my wireless router downstairs, but wasn't sure if it's be worth the trouble...

I guess it would be no problem to take the other computers offline for a while and move the modem & router downstairs

I was also thinking about putting the router on the wall and point the antenna downward...I didn't know about the dome theory, I always figured it needed to be higher than the computer, like cordless phones...

the other thing I might try if just putting a card with an antenna in the laptop, maybe it's the one with the signal problem, not the router, but when I lose the signal, it's resetting the router that's the fix, booting the computer does nothing
