You give Pep waaaay too much credit.
I wouldn't give Pep "trying harder" as the reason our D improved over the last year. I think our defensive play improved as they figured out Meeks' D-system.

other than LB, I totally agree. There's reason to worry, and there's reason to be optimistic. It'll be a hungry, young, fast, smart team made up almost entirely of the youth that came in since Gregory started drafting for us.

sometimes younger players appear slower than they are because of lack of playing time, especially making the move into the NFL at LB, the games is as much mental as it is physical, maybe more

    Conner's got game though

We should get an easy win against Chicago. All we have to do is run straight at Peppers. Hell, I could probably get 200 yards running right at him.

I do worry about whether we will get enough pressure from that defensive line to take pressure off the secondary. Obviously, we need another wide out and am I the only one here that thinks we need a qb that can challenge Moore?

i'm concerned about moore looking like what he has been so far, a backup that can come in and win a few. this past year was a weekly display of how poor/ineffective qb play will sabatoge the offense. on defense, if the dline doesn't get pressure and hold up against the run, we are in trouble. fear of the unknown on both sides really. throw in the mystery of special teams there as well. that has to improve in all facets, and i sure hope kasay isn't kicking off. i think we have some big “ifs” right now, but it's way early too.
