Yeah, that's the bitch of Fantasy Football as compared with Fantasy Baseball. Having so many different scoring systems and roster set-ups in FF means that you basically have to run the math for each league you're in. It's a pain in the ass, which is why I always vocally oppose any unusual set-ups when I'm in a league. Even though I know how to do the math and therefore usually win, it's just unsatisfying. I'd rather win because I did well in picking players.

That reminds me, I need to check the TBR free league settings.

Paul, how long is everybody going to get to pick? the shorter the better, IMO. If you know shit about football, 60 seconds is plenty to me.

90 seconds. We have a count down timer with a master list only I have access to after the draft starts. If a pick isn't made the next best available gets picked. We have only used it maybe 3 times in 17 years. One guy got hit with it twice while he was hurling bad Mexican food and tequila. Thankfully for him it was late in the draft

Sit nevermind, I thought you were talking my league. Same thing 90 seconds for free league using Yahoo

Well it happens tomorrow. I have another fucking late pick. I am looking at either Portis or Lynch at 10 and maybe Terrell Owens or Reggie Wayne in rd 2. I was thinking Gore but something tells me to stay away. It wouldn't bother me if S. Jackson, or Barber fell to me at 10

Feel a lot better about this draft than in the past. Picks per round
    . Snake draft and I had 10
    1. Marion Barber
    2. Terrell Owen. Wanted another RB but Owens was too good a value here
    3. Carson Palmer. Wanted Brees but Palmer was the last top 5 QBs left
    4. Steve Smith. Too good to pass on
    5. Ronnie Brown
    6. RB Selvyn Young
    7. Chris Chambers
    8. Benjamin Watson. I know too early but TEs were flying off board. Almost had Shockey who I wanted
    9. Chargers defense. third defense off the board and I get the best
    10. Felix Jones. Protect Barber and maybe good by himself
    11. Adam Vineteri. 3rd kicker off the board
    12. Ahman Green. Still listed as #1 RB in Houston
    13. Donte Stallworth. Good value I thought in rd 13
    14. Jason Campbell. I think he is capible of 25-27 TDs
    15. Ronald Curry. Number 2 guy in Oakland

    1) Fine.
    2) Fine.
    3) I'm cooling on him, but if Brees was gone then it's fine.
    4) Agreed. Playoffs are what matter, not the first two weeks.
    5) Too early for Brown now that Ricky Williams is the starter.
    6) Too early for Young since Denver will be RB by committee.
    7) Good pick.
    8) Much too early. TE is ridiculously deep. You can get someone as good as Watson in the last round.
    9) Why would you think that SD is the best? Don't like the pick.
    10) I doubt that Jones would get most of the carries if Barber got hurt.
    11) Why a kicker this early?
    12) Worth a gamble at this point.
    13) He sucks, but whatever.
    14) Solid backup QB, but not a 25-27 TD guy.
    15) Decent WR, but did you really need another?

Not a big fan of your draft here. It started well, but came off the rails.

Who else will get the carries if Jones gets hurt? Felix while not a 25 carry guy is more than capible of carrying the ball 15 times and should develop into a good receiver as well.

All of the decnt TEs had left the table by the time I was able to draft Watson. I drafted at 10 and just after my pick going down the TEs (minus Gates who went 4th round) started to be taken. 6 were taken and I was left with the Tony Scheffler and Heath Miller types.

If a decent RB opens up after week one or two I'll drop Curry in favor of them. I went in really liking Brees, Shockey Forte and Kevin Smith and came up empty. I went strictly best value available instead of getting 2 rock solid running backs like in the past. When Dallas is off I may be hurting but I think I can still do ok

Felix would get more, but a lot would go to Tashard Choice. Jones just isn't stout enough or good enough between the tackles to be an every-down back regardless of who is hurt. And as for TEs, I have seventeen guys rated higher than Ben Watson. John Carlson, for instance, probably didn't get drafted in your league but will put up better numbers than Watson. He's solid, but he's nothing special, so burning an eighth round pick on him was a very bad move. If other people are having a run on TEs, your move should be taking whatever they aren't, then picking a TE in the last round or so. Unless most other teams take two TEs, you're not going to be much worse off at that position.

    I'd take Miller over Watson.
