from the game will be Michael Gaines craddling poor Nick Goings while he waited for the training staff to get to him.

    sad!

*rofl* Sad or funny, depending upon how you look at it. What bugs me is that people are writing about it as if Tatupu was the one who gave the hit. Obviously Goings knocked the shit out of Tatupu, but hitting someone's chest with your head means that you're the one who loses, even if you delivered the blow.

My memory could be foggy, but I thought it was helmet to helmet. The top of Goings helmet to the facemask of Tatupa.

It was helmet to helmet, but don't tell Collin. He knows everything.

Yeah, it was helmet to helmet. Nick just took it in a worse spot.

I hope Nick doesn't end up with a fragile head, what with the cumulative effects. He's been a good Swiss-Army-Back* for us.

(*Wish I could remember where I saw him referred to this way. It's perfect.)

In this case I know more than you. Cue up your game tape to 1:40 in the first quarter. Goings lowers his head and hits Tatupu in the right upper chest/shoulder area. Initially it looked like it was going to be helmet to helmet, but Tatupu sees that as well and pulls up. The helmets still do contact, but they only glance off each other. Goings then hits him in that right chest/shoulder area, which is where the real impact occurs. I have it freeze-framed on the TV beside me right now, so feel free to disagree and continue to be wrong.

Oh, and Goings fumbled on that play, although no one in the broadcast booth ever seemed to realize it. Two times in three weeks Nick managed to get himself knocked out and lose the ball, so I'm not so keen on the idea of using him that frequently anymore.

Christ, you are stupid. You were trying to say that I was wrong about Goings' helmet hitting Tatupu in the chest. I never said their helmets didn't touch, you idiot. You're the one who was wrong, but that's not unusual, because you have never contributed a single thought worth sharing to TBR (or anywhere else for that matter) in your entire life. You're a useless waste of kilobytes whose only satisfaction in life comes from hounding his betters.

And both times I was pumped because he was delivering a blow, which I love in a ball carrier. Until I see the ball loose and him wondering what hit him.
