    Not a lot of great choices out there. Rivera can't afford to elevate someone new given that he has to make the playoffs in 2013.

    I wonder if Whisenhunt would be willing if he misses out on the head coaching gigs? There's no real connection to Rivera that I know of, however. Plus, the SF OC position is likely to open up once Jacksonville takes Roman.

    Shula really is the best option here... I still believe Gettleman is going to reach into his connections as options. And wouldn't surprise me if it is someone he could move into HC should Rivera fail

    Bite your tongue. Shula as OC? Can you just put a gun to Rivera's head now?

    FFS. Keep him where he is. He won't even get a sniff at OC, despite what the local media say.
