Doesn't Creative make the Dell? If so, they are coming out with something similar to the Ipod Science was talking about soon. Don't know if it'll be cheaper though.

And whatever you decide, buy it at Compusa and buy the extended warranty. Then you can exchange it every 2 years for a brand new model, no questions asked.

I accidentally stepped on my SanDisk awhile back. I can't see shit on the display, but it still plays like a mofo.

mine doesnt do video. It has a file server for transporting files, but both machines need the drivers installed. It's not as simple as they make it out to be. BUT...I tend to use DVDs and CDs for that sort of mission anyways.

You might think you're right. But naked men are still better than naked women. And my dell is playing right now. Gay assed dance music.

Damn, so many choices. I may wait until after the christmas rush and get one in Jan. when things get restocked, unless I just find a great deal. I know as soon as I get one, the next new wave of shit will come out.

You can never be totally up to date, technologically speaking.

Creative does make a fine mp3 player, whether their own brand or Dell's (I didn't know they made Dell). I think the 20 gig is around $225 retail?

Agreed, it's the same with PC, but at least with those, I build myself and can easily switch out parts on them.

I guess I will make a list of all the features I want and what is out there and then go from there.

Well went to Circuit City today and looked at the Ipod and Creative. Talked with the guy and he actually has an Ipod, he said unless you are accessory crazy then dollar for dollar the Creative was a better deal. Said it is actually a lot easier to use and transfer songs and said it has a lot more functionality of things you can do on the player, where as the Ipod you have to do those same things from your PC.

Still, going to check out a few places and players and go from there.
