    from lombardi twitter:
Childress told the team in meeting they waived Moss as Moss did not go back with the team to Minnesota. Moss was not in the meeting.

Maybe Favre is done? He wanted Moss and I doubt they cut him if they are still hoping Favre is going to play out the year. That hit he took to the face against the Pats may have ended his career.

Not only is Favre not done, he's coming back next week.

No, Childress is another dumb dick coach. He completely fucked his season up by letting a few of his redneck players drive down to Brett's farm and lure him back in, and as if that wasn't enough, allowing himself to trade for Randy Moss.

Tavaris + Peterson + Harvin = pretty good damn trio. Rice's injury was not season ending, and they still had Berrian and Shaincoe at TE.

    Fuck, what a moron.

Funny. He'll clear waivers, because no GM (maybe other than Hurney) is stupid enough to pay two salaries for one player, but when he hits UFA tomorrow, I think Coach Belichick will be giving Mr. Moss a phone call.

"I get Moss back, and a third-round pick."

    From ESPN Insider:

UPDATE: If Moss does fall past that opening gauntlet of low-end teams, he may last until a contending team such as the Tennessee Titans. After news hit the wire of Moss' release, Titans safety Michael Griffin tweeted that he thinks the team should acquire him, and running back Chris Johnson concurs.

Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Seattle and Miami are expressing interest in Moss.

Meanwhile, over on the ESPN NFC West blog, Mike Sando makes a strong argument for the St. Louis Rams placing a claim on Moss (excerpted below).

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter also chimed in with a list of teams likely to place a claim on Moss: Cowboys, Redskins, Rams, Bears, Dolphins, Raiders, Chiefs, Jets and Patriots.

    ---

The Randy Moss experiment for the Minnesota Vikings is over. Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network reports that the team has released him as of Monday. According to protocol, Moss must now pass through waivers, meaning the teams with the worst records will have first dibs.

The Buffalo Bills, at 0-7, get the first shot, and usually they'd be categorically dismissed from this discussion. However, after their 2009 signing of Terrell Owens, nothing can be ruled out. The Carolina Panthers are next, at 1-6, although they appear as likely to sign Randy Moss as Randy Quaid. :roflmao:
Amongst the two-win teams, the team with the greatest need at WR is the Cleveland Browns. This doesn't necessarily mean the Browns will place a claim on Moss, but it'd make sense from an on-field standpoint if they did.

After that group, there's plenty of other teams who may be intrigued enough to place a claim. A return to the New England Patriots, however, could only happen if every other team passes, so don't dig your old No. 81 jersey back out just yet. Then again, NFL Network reporter Jason La Canfora tweets that in his conversations with GMs around the league, many believe Moss will wind up back in Foxborough.

    Mike Sando
Moss would push them over the top

"Coach Steve Spagnuolo spent his first season on the job targeting low-risk, high-character types. This was the right move as the Rams remade their roster. The team now has enough leadership in place, including at quarterback, to consider taking some chances on higher-risk, high-reward players. Moss fits the profile and his addition would instantly make the Rams a stronger player in the NFC West race. Sam Bradford badly needs a target with Moss' credentials. Even if the experiment produced underwhelming results, the Rams would be making only an eight-game investment. They wouldn't be messing with their long-term future. They could release Moss after one day or one week or anytime if things weren't working out."
