Steve Reed has in his colum today an article on who we'll need to get to complement Smith. He metions that Moose might get cut from Chicago. Would we take him back? Isn't he a little too old?

I'd take him back at a reasonable price (I don't think he's worth very much anymore). His production has taken a tumble since '04, but having shitty QB play must be a factor. If we can't find a better option, I wouldn't mind adding him to the mix.

It depends on what the market decides he is worth. If we could get him cheap I would do it. He would probably be a big help to Jarett since they are both big posession receivers.

I don't think he'll be expensive at all.

If there's nothing else out there, he would be a decent one-year solution. You would like a guy who is younger with better hands, but I'd take him over Carter.

Moose + Jake > Moose + any Bears QB

So would I. In a heartbeat.

I wonder how much Jeff King would charge him to get his old number back. :pokestick:

Yes, I'd take him back so long as it was our price. Doesn't he still live in the area?

Even before his mom got sick he maintained some residence in MI. The familiarity doesn't hurt, though.

He's certainly a better option than the guys in free agency, for what we need.
