I'm hopeful just based on the fact that Dallas wanted him

What has Dallas done at QB to warrant that hope?

    Tony Romo

    http://www.nfl.com/players/tonyromo/profile?id=ROM787981

    Professional career
Romo attended the 2003 NFL Combine, but, despite intriguing some scouts, went undrafted during the 2003 NFL Draft. Throughout the draft, Romo was assured by Sean Payton of the Cowboys' interest (Romo was also intensely pursued by Denver head coach Mike Shanahan),[10] and shortly afterwards was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Cowboys

    Matt Moore

    Professional career

    Dallas Cowboys

Moore was not selected in the 2007 NFL Draft, but was signed as a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys. Despite completing 21 of 29 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions to generate a 100.1 quarterback rating during the preseason for the Cowboys, Moore was waived on September 1, the Cowboys intending to sign him to their practice squad had he passed through waivers.

    Carolina Panthers

He was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers the following day. Moore saw his first regular season action against the New Orleans Saints in the 5th game of the season. Quarterback David Carr (who was playing in place of injured starter Jake Delhomme) left the game with a back injury after being sacked near the end of the first quarter. His first NFL completion was a 43-yard pass to Keary Colbert, but his playing time was brief as Carr returned to the field near the end of the first half.
After a string of ineffective performances from Carr and Vinny Testaverde, Moore started his first NFL game on December 16, 2007 against the Seattle Seahawks. He led the Panthers to victory against the Seahawks while completing 19 of 27 passes for 208 yards without a turnover. After a tough loss against Dallas the next week, where he had a touchdown and an interception all the while completing 15 of 28 passes for 182 yards, he threw for two touchdowns in a road win against Tampa Bay. Moore was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for December after these performances.

So because it happened for them once with a different staff it'll happen now, makes sense. Can we sign Brooks Bollinger too? the Cowboys liked him.

I'm not saying he doesn't have potential but comparing him to Romo because they happened to be on the same team, after the QB coach and OC had changed when they signed is pretty iffy.
