I'll add this, because I'm feeling charitable. The average effective lifespan of a productive NFL back is 6-8 years, lower than most. The average lifespan of the average NFL back is closer to three.
They're backs. They take punishment. They get injured. Find me ten free agent backs who have never been injured in the league and I'll find you nine that have no experience.
