One way or another, it will be addressed.

I've never been one to let other people's perceptions affect me too much. This is all about perceptions. Falcon Trolls and Buc Trolls calling out Panther Trolls.

It's important to stay informed about the affairs of your team. But it's equally important to focus only on the facts, not perceptions.

    The facts are as follows:

Dr. James Shortt is in deep shit.
    Turnstile recieved medicine from Shortt.
    Mitchell received medicine from Shortt.
    Sauerbrun received medicine from Shortt.
6 others current/former Panthers may have received meds from Shortt.

    Perceptions are/will be as follows:

"Figures. Panthers pay of refs, then they cheat with roids."

"Well, fuck that NFC title in 2003. Cheating bastards."

"Now, when we get swept by Carolina, at least we know they did it dishonestly."

It is only April. Season starts in 5 months. That's quite a while. This will pass, and the turds will be dealt with accordingly. If Mitchell admits taking a banned substance, and/or tests positive, it will be addressed through suspension or release. Same goes for Brun, though I must admit the leash is shorter there.

Turnstile is a turd, and he's Tampa's problem now.

So, this is all media hype at this point. Some reporter for CBS doing his/her job. I have no interest in watching the 60 Minutes feature, for I believe that it will shed nothing new other than what we already know and have known for the past three weeks.

By September, if handled proplerly, it will be forgotten.

Let me also add that I think it's pretty fucking stupid to associate yourself with any banned substance, or any doctor who prescribes these forms of drugs. If any Panthers broke the rules, to hell with em. They will get what they deserve, and we will be fine without them.

With that said, it will pass. One way or another. Worst case scenario.....all of the players are caught red-handed, and are all suspended for 4 games next year. I still don't get as scared about that prospect as many others do, especially considering this team's reseliency in 2004.

Truthfully, I don't give a shit whether other teams are investigated or not. Bottom line: it goes on all around the league. It won't make me feel any better or worse knowing other teams are getting squeezed. It's just one more preceived distraction that the naysayers/negative thinkers will toss in front of this franchise.

I understand that the response, how can they prove it was sarcastic. But its still a good point that they don't need to prove it. The suspensions are for a positive drug test or a drug conviction or anything else that's a strong enough drug connections. Proof of possession, or receiving, is probably plenty for a suspension.

Steve Cheek has been given the jersey #6 on Panthers.com roster. When you get a number, you usually are here for a while. Brun is gone, was gone the day we signed Cheek, IMHO.

Every backup K/P gets a number. I don't think that has a thing to do with it.

I know, I know. And I'm not trying to piss all over Brun. He has been a helluva punter for us. But to sign a punter, slap a number on him, and have your current punter thrown in the slammer for DUI and getting probed by the DEA for steroids in a span of 5 months, tells me that something is in the works.

As a general rule, I would take the date in which you and I find out something new about this case and subtract 30 days from it.

That will give you the approx. time frame in which Fox/Hurney/JR were first made aware of the situation. It will be handles, especially with the ultra-sensetive Richardson family. They won't stand for another image-hit.

No question, IMO, Brun is gone. He was on the way out anyhow, this seals the deal.
