    Actually Martz did settle for a field goal in the 2003 playoff game. They were having no trouble driving the ball against us on offense during hat last drive, but settled for OT instead of going for the win.

    Yet he let the clock burn rather than go downfield and instead played for OT back in our '04 playoff game. Caught a ton of flack for it from Rams fans and media too.

    Amen, we could have (should have per most Ram fans) NOT been the team to advance had Martz not made some really stupid chicken shit calls toward the end of the game.

    I know, but they melted the clock (as others have pointed out in this thread). they were driving it down the Panthers throats, got to the 15 or so, and then called off the dogs. Faulk was destroying Carolina on that drive, and then they just stopped calling plays. It was like Martz thought a FG wins it, rather than tie--that's just too damn close to Seifert not knowing down & distance for my taste.

    I wouldn't mind keeping Fox and Trgo around and then bringing Norv Turner in as OC when he gets fired.
