Funny thing is other than a couple of guys, the field is weak as hell. So the absence of 5-8 major name golfers should leave more than enough room for guys go get in.

    Nah.

What I'm saying can sound like bigotry, but it's not. My main concern is ability - not race, age, or even gender. Up to now, she's done very little to merit a spot on tour. I'd be just as concerned if it was an underqualified, 15-year-old white male.

And she's doing a fine job. Those men have accomplished great things, which is why they deserve to be there in the first place, and why they can have the occasional poor performance. They've paid their dues to get there. Granted, she's only 15. But that would leave her plenty of time to find ways to earn a place in a tournament (via monday qualify, U.S. publinks).

Somewhat, but not really. The PGA Tour is very deep, about 200 active players. The Nationwide tour has about 120 active players. Not everyone worthy can get in, even when the best names are absent.

Pack your bags Michelle. If a woman is going to make a cut on the PGA I would MUCH rather see Annaka Sorenstam do it. She is total class, and a kick ass player to boot.

Really, who cares? It's a sport full of the biggest prima donnas you can find. I couldn't care less about a bunch of jackass country club boys scraping by on 75K a year.

I love watching Wie hit the ball. She's been a fav LPGA player for a long time. I hope my daughter grows up loving golf, and maybe that's part of it, but I would never expect anything like what she's done. I'd be happy with a golf scholarship to help out with that education.

Dehydration. Anybody without much body fat, like her, is at an increased risk of falling out. 7100 yards is a long way to walk for a 16 year old. I played in tournaments as a teenager, but the longest course that I can recall walking was about 6800. Talk shows will probably go overboard with this, but she certainly deserves a pass for one WD, considering her age and build.
