"But right now, our focus is on our team and our players and trying to get the New England Patriots ready and so that's really where my attention's been." Really sounds like he can't wait to sign him.

    Ravens?

Michael Vick said he's close to finding a new team, however, some reporters are hearing otherwise.
"No team is hot in pursuit," Sports Illustrated's Peter King tweets, adding the dog reference, "Teams just sniffing around edge."

But if Vick is right -- and he is close to signing -- the Baltimore Ravens appear to be the favorites. Coach John Harbaugh told the Associated Press, "We've had long discussions about Michael Vick and we have a feeling about how he would impact our team and not impact our team." This makes them the lone public suitor for No. 7.

For a while, though, it appeared that the New Orleans Saints were front-runners for Vick in the minds of most NFL followers. But GM Mickey Loomis told the New Orleans Times-Picayune on Wednesday, "We have already commented on Vick and have nothing further to add." This is in reference to an earlier statement that indicated that there were "no plans to bring Michael Vick to the Saints."

The fact that he's missed the last two offseason workouts really hurts. Lifting weights in prison is not sufficient, not when you compare it to how modern NFL players are working out. Plus, you can't really pick up a football and throw while you're behind bars. Him actually being capable of performing is a bigger question than whether or not someone will take a chance on him.
