Michael Vick Divide on ESPN

Maybe becuase what people think about the crimes is for the most part divided down racial lines.

 

Chicken fighting is legal in some states (LA and NM) as far as I know dogfighting is illegal everywhere.

 

I left it on as background noise while I did some school stuff.

 

A lot of people make a good living off of keeping racial tensions high. What would happen to Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton if everyone got along? What about the NAACP?

Really? nobody I know has ever been involved in dog fighting but I will take your word for it seeing as you are the authority on black culture.

 

If you can show me where I'm exaggerating or stoking racial tensions, feel free. Just because you want to pretend that problems don't exist doesn't mean that people who point them out are doing something wrong.

I'm not an authority on black culture or dog fighting, but any number of sources will confirm for you that it is a black thing. Look at arrests. Look at studies done. Look at anything and it will show you that it's not a Southern thing or a poverty thing, it's strictly a black thing.

 

It's not a racial issue although many see it that way. Vick is a STOOOOOOOOPID bastard and that's reality. He was alway propped up at VA Tech because he was such a great talent. Here are the facts.

1. Vick is overrated and overrated by a lot.
2. Vick is an idiot
3. Vick will soon learn that everyone has to pay some dues.
4. Vick would be an idiot regardless of his skin pigmentation
5. There are some blacks that defend him blindley and that is a shame.
6. Arthur Blank must be on suicide watch
7. ESPN has lost their messiah


That is not all but will do for now.

 

I don't pretend that problems don't exist I just think its a different problem than you do. The problem in my opinion is people with narrow minds that use broad statements to label a whole group of people because of the actions of an ignorant few. The white equivalent would be that all white people burn crosses because a number have been caught.

This is the most asinine thing I have read in a while. Strictly a black thing. I hope you are just flaming the board.

 

The percentage of whites who have burned crosses is miniscule. The percentage of blacks who offer blanket support for black plantiffs because of grievances against the justice system is much larger. Look, if you want to stick your head in the sand then be my guest, but don't come online and talk about the issue if you're going to pretend like it's a colorless issue. It isn't. Many black and white columnists have written pieces on this subject about how the black community does not want black men to be convicted of crimes. That's simply a fact, and you bitching at me because I pointed out a truth you evidently don't like isn't going to change anything.

It's asinine because you wish to believe something else that isn't true? Ok, sure. Let's pretending that dog fighting is common to all races. It's just not blacks, it's whites and even Eskimos. Would that make you happy? The fact is that those who have been documented to be involved in dog fighting are overwhelmingly black. That's just a fact, and if you can't deal with things you don't want to believe, then give up on the internet and the outside world in general.

Whatever your ultimate decision, do everyone a favor and simply shut up on this subject now. You clearly aren't intellectual or emotionally equipped to discuss it in any meaningful fashion.

 

See you have changed your argument up on me here I was comparing the number of whites that burn crosses to the number of blacks who fight dogs not the whole blanket support argument you are talking about now. I have no idea how you would prove or argue that little thought you threw out there? Regardless my point if you stop long enough to read it was that this is a small groups actions (the dog fighting) just like the cross burning issue and I was trying to show you how a bad apple can give a whole group a bad name because there are people that judge a whole group based off the actions of one.

Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they have their head in the sand and thank you for pointing the "truth" out to me yet again I had no idea all black people were against justice being served.

I have no idea what the percentage of the black dog fighters is compared to white but I am almost a 100% its small in either community I was simply stating that I in all my years have never met a person to my knowledge that has been to or spoke of a dog fight white or black. I will say it again it is not a cultural thing no more than shooting or stabbing someone is but I am sure you probably think only black people do that too.
